Tiramisu by George in Hilversum

I cannot say how many times I have seen Tiramisu driving home and simply driven by. What a shame that this is the first time we stopped, because now I know what I have been missing out all these years!

From start to finish Tiramisu impressed with the attention to the little details, excellent tasty food and one of the best house Reds I have drunk in a long, long time.

What were those tiny details? Coming outside to hold the door open for one of our group who happened to be on crutches. The generosity of the portion size. Remembering to serve wine only once the food hit the table so it was eaten with the food and not drunk apart - even though they could well have sold another glass.

And then there's the part where they went above and beyond. Hans entertained, educated and involved the youngest member of our group (aged 9) in cooking the pizza for our table which was simply wonderful to watch.

George came out, despite the pressure in the kitchen to come and check his guests were happy. It's clear that George really cares that his guests are happy. He made us feel like he takes the satisfaction of his clientelle personally.

The rest of the staff are a refection of George's leadership. We never felt for a minute that they were anything less than 100% focused on customer satisfaction.

If it was not clear from what is written above, it is going to much more difficult just to drive past Tiramisu in the future. I may have to change my journey home just to reduce the temptation.
