The Beacon in Wessem

This restaurant could be so nice as it is beautifully situated. The service was quite ok, except that they did not inform us that we could not pay per table or per person and were not even willing to do the calculations. Quite difficult for guests, especially when the drinks are only indicated per groups in total (so i.e. 20 cokes/sprites etc. and the total price) and not per piece.

The "fresh vegetables" with the steak were completely overcooked and you could not even speak about a "portion". The fresh chocolate sauce for the "Dame blanche" could hardly be described as fresh, it was this syrope chocolate... I know a lot of restaurants where the price is lower and the chocolate sauce really does consist of fresh melted chocolate. The breadrolls for a first dish were great, but I must say that the next time I'd choose a different restaurant as this is really not worth the money...
