Landgoed Overste Hof in Landgraaf

The atmosphere was good when I arrived. We ordered 4 starters. The spareribs were a joke - 3/4 pieces of fat and minimal meat, no ribs to be seen, kind of missing the point of a sparerib.

3 starters finished, still waiting for the last one to arrive... After complaining it finally arrived, extra big as if it was meant to make up for the late delivery, or to spoil the main course.

Main course; first order. Wrong order arrives: medium steak, well done was ordered. Chefs answer is cut the steak in to two half's so you have 2 overdone steak burgers complimented with cold carrots and peas/beans. Second order: the steak tasted burned and the meat was chewy. First basket of fries where nice second basket underdone.

Then wait and wait for dessert, after complaining I'm told everyone is cleaning in the kitchen and no desserts are being made, we finally received the desserts - no complaints

Coffee to finish, tasted very watered down and was not a pleasant. At the end of the evening I had to go to the toilet and there were no paper towels to dry my hands.

Then there is the dress code, guests tend to dress up for the meals and the staff run around with jeans and white shirts.

All in all I was disappointed.
